Who are we?

Forager was formed in 2024 in response to growing demand for feedstock sourcing and management services. The 2022 maize harvest had been catastrophic and the effects weren’t felt until 2023 when stocks ran low. We formed Forager to “forage” – to ensure specific/ targeted/ specialist resource was put into ensuring when this did happen again, we’d be better prepared.

Our management team and specialists include agronomists, biogas industry specialists with development and operations backgrounds and waste industry professionals.

Think of it as not just going to a restaurant and picking what you like – but going to a restaurant and being served by a nutritionist helping you pick from every menu in the city.

What we do?

We’re not just a feedstock supplier. Yes, a large part of our business is putting biogas plants together with suitable/ compliant feedstocks to fill gaps or increase profitability and efficiency.
But we do a lot more!
Our teams have: managed harvests for operators; sourced long term pre-construction feedstock agreements for funders; provided agronomy advice to farmers; undertaken Due Diligence for buyers; and sourced seedstock for commissioning and recommissioning biogas plants -amongst many other long term and one-off jobs for clients.
